A rambling herbaceous climber which can reach 5 to 6 feet, this perennial sweet pea can be allowed to sprawl over early flowering plants whose display is finished. The racemes of 12 flowers open all at once, which makes it an excellent cut flower. We offer a mixture of superior forms with white, light pink or magenta pink flowers. Not scented, but a long flowering season. The perennial sweet pea is easy to cultivate and provides a reliable display of its sweet pea like flowers every year.

A sound herbaceous perennial which will climb to 5 or 6 feet each year, it can also be allowed to sprawl, or to tumble down an embankment. A native of Europe, the everlasting pea or perennial sweet pea was introduced into cultivation in 1596 and is now naturalized in many areas. Useful for filling gaps in the border left by early flowering plants and spring bulbs. In addition to the varieties illustrated, the seed supplied also produces a very attractive light pink form. The common name is the perennial pea but it is often refered to as the everlasting pea, a name which properly belongs to Lathyrus grandiflorus. Virtually evergreen in warm climates. Supplied as a random mixture of white, pink and magenta forms.

Germination can be erratic unless the seedcoat is nicked with a small file just prior to sowing
